At our eye care center, we don’t just treat eye conditions - we change lives. We are thrilled to share with you some of the recent success stories from our patients, showcasing our unwavering commitment to providing the highest quality of eye care.
These six case studies illustrate the exceptional results our team of experienced eye doctors has achieved, making a meaningful difference in our patients’ lives.
TempSure Treatment For Dry Eye, Fine Lines, Wrinkles & Loose Skin Around the Eyes
A woman in her early 60s who suffered from dry eye, fine lines, wrinkles, and loose skin around her eyelids came to us for help. After a thorough examination, we prescribed punctal occlusion and lubricant tears, combined with a six-session full-face treatment of TempSure, to reduce dry eye symptoms and address her cosmetic concerns. Our patient was ecstatic with the results, reporting improved dry eye symptoms and a silky, smooth feel and appearance around her eyes.
SLT Laser Surgery for Glaucoma
In another case, a 50-year-old female patient with presbyopia and a history of LASIK in 2007 had difficulty with night driving and near vision with progressive addition lenses.
We prescribed a new digital lens progressive with the latest PAL design (Endless Steady) with ARC (anti-reflective coating), resulting in almost immediate success within 10-15 minutes of wear time. Our patient easily transitioned from distance to near vision focus, with no peripheral blur or “swim-headedness”.
Successful Corrective Lid Surgery
An elderly male patient in his early 80s suffered from a lower lid Ectropion on his right eye, causing red, watery eyes with a lower lid that “hangs down.” Our team performed corrective lid surgery, resulting in almost immediate success. Our patient was thrilled that he no longer had to deal with all the redness and watering and could finally stop constantly wiping his eyes.
Improved Glasses-Free Vision with Panoptix Multifocal IOLs
We take great pride in providing successful cataract surgery, especially when using Panoptix Multifocal IOLs. A 58-year-old female patient with nearsightedness, astigmatism, presbyopia, and cataracts came to our practice for cataract surgery. She had difficulty with night vision and was tired of wearing glasses.
During cataract surgery, we inserted the Panoptix Multifocal IOLs to address all of her vision concerns. She can now see clearly without glasses for distance and near, and is extremely pleased with the outcome.
Improving Vision and Comfort for a Keratoconus Patient with Scleral Contact Lenses
A male patient in his late 30s who had Keratoconus experienced reduced vision and could not find suitable glasses to meet his needs. He’d already undergone a corneal transplant in his left eye for his keratoconus, and came to us for help.
We fit him with scleral contact lenses for both eyes, resulting in 20/25+ vision in the right eye and 20/40+ vision in the left eye with comfort. Our patient reported easier, safer distance vision and could delay having to proceed with a corneal transplant on the right eye.
Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty (SLT) Procedure Successfully Reduces Pressure in Glaucoma Patient Unresponsive to Drops
A 67-year-old male with primary open-angle glaucoma and pressures of 28 and 24 could not tolerate glaucoma drops due to side effects such as redness, burning, and mildly decreased vision. Our team performed a selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) procedure to reduce his inner-eye pressure. After two months, the patient had pressures of 15 and 18 and was not using additional drops. He reported little to no stinging or burning and good vision.
We feel fortunate to have been part of these remarkable transformations and remain steadfast in our commitment to providing exceptional eye care to our patients. Contact Wesson and Mothershed Eye Center, and let us help you achieve optimal eye health and vision!
